February 2005

It's been a while since I last posted, hasn't it? Don't really have much to say except for the fact that I thank God for the life He's given me and how He has allowed me to live this long. Life is so fragile and everytime I think about that fact, this sense of urgency overcomes me to live my life for Christ and to let people know about Him and His saving grace and unconditional love. However, the first step towards that is the hardest to take sometimes. But I must press on make Him known. These past 2 weeks, our church family have lost people who are dear to us and who have lived their life to the utmost for Christ, my Auntie Adel Peol and Pastor Amando Alcantara. Their loss happened so fast, almost too fast. And though it is sad that they are no longer with us, we have the hope that they are both in the presence of Jesus. They are no longer experiencing pain and suffering. They're actually better off than we are. Praise God that we can have that hope and assurance of being in His presence when we pass on from this world. :)

Man, this has been a long day. I'm ready to go home and crash. Tired, so tired. But praise God for fellowship with friends, old and new. Well, that is all for now.

I didn't realize that I had the day off today until my workmate called me. I was frantically getting ready for work, and was running REALLY late, when she called me to ask when our other workmate would be coming in. I was telling her that I was getting ready to head out there and that was when she informed me that I didn't need to come in. hah! Now, I don't know what to do with myself! Well, I had trekked on over to Walmart right after I spoke to my her (my workmate), to buy my disposable contact lenses, but that was about it. I just loaded the laundry, now I don't know what to do. Hmm… I guess I'm going to brew myself some coffee and do a little reading.

I noticed that I haven't really had a proper post in so long and that I mostly post about random things that catch my attention at the moment. I will, one day, sit myself down in front of a computer and make a proper post, after all of this madness at work is over and done with. I haven't really had a chance to reflect on my turning 30, it hasn't really sunk in altogether. I'm afraid that when people ask me how old I am, I will still say that I am 29. LOL I think I should just do that, stick to 29, and say it long and often enough that years later, I will completely forget what my right age will be. LOL Maybe I should count backwards…LOL

As I am typing this, "As Long As You Love Me" by the Backstreet Boys is blasting from our computer here at work (where we usually play our CDs and such). Yeah, I know, BSB. LOL Although, I am intrigued about this new CD that they're working on, supposedly coming out sometime this year. There's only 3 of them now, Brian, Kevin (a.k.a. "Eyebrows"), and Howie. And supposedly, they are working with David Thomas of Take 6 on this new album. Hmmm…like I said, intriguing.

Well, that's all for now. I'm off to have dinner with workmates.

I absolutely love this song!

I CAN ONLY IMAGINE
by Mercy Me

I can only imagine what it will be like, when I walk by Your side…
I can only imagine, what my eyes will see, when Your Face is beforeme!
I can only imagine. I can only imagine.

Surrounded by Your Glory, what will myheart feel?
Will I dance for you, Jesus? Or in awe of You, be still?
WillI stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing’Hallelujah!’? Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine! I can onlyimagine!

I can only imagine, when that day comes, when I find myselfstanding in theSon!
I can only imagine, when all I will do, is forever, forever worshipYou!
I can only imagine! I can only imagine!

Surrounded by Your Glory, what will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you, Jesus? Or in awe of You, be still?
Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing ‘Hallelujah!’? Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine! Yeah!

Yeah! I can only imagine!

I can only imagine! Yeah! I can only imagine!!
Only imagine!!!I can only imagine.
I can only imagine, when all I do is forever, forever worshipYou!
I can only imagine.

Oh, to be in the presence of Jesus! We can only imagine indeed! It’ll be too overwhelming!

I'm absolutely chuffed at this and gutted at the same time that I couldn't possibly go to this momentous event. *sigh*

(check news dated 2/14)

My '80s geekiness has come over me, overwhelmingly…LOL

"Oh I live on the edge, time is on my side, and the doors to my life are opened wide…" :-)
(Well, this isn't exactly my mantra in life, I don't live on the edge, maybe live on the edge for Christ yes, but this is in reference to the link above).

(Notice the hint of Britishness in this post, LOL).

It’s Valentine’s Day. HAPPY HEART’S DAY TO ALL!!!

Remember, Jesus LOVES you! :)

Last night's Grammys were too focused on the more contemporary music of the day. I missed those days when they would show performances by nominees from the classical categories and even the Contempory Christian and Gospel categories. But that didn't mean that there weren't any incredible performances last night. (more…)

…(to my mom), my cousins, my friends. Thank you for sharing my special day with me. The gifts were wonderful, but having all of you around made the day extra special. Thank you for driving through the pouring rain. Can’t thank you all enough. The Lord bless you a hundred-fold! Those who weren’t able to make it, you were missed, but I thank you for the text greetings and the phone calls, and the best rendition of “Happy Birthday” I’ve ever heard! (Nothing will ever top that one PJ, LOL!)

You know it! (more…)

I can't believe it's almost here. :)

Pre-birthday entry… (more…)
